Language development at this age is staggering! Expressive language is the ability to outwardly communicate, whether it be through speech, body language, gestures etc. In this case I’m referring to expressive language using the childs home language (English). Children rapidly improve their expressive language skills at this age and are generally able to interact with others in a way that they can be understood. It is my FAVOURITE period in speech development, as their personalities shine through so bright in their expressions and pronunciations.
Children find joy and wonder in things that most adults would consider to be generic or disinteresting. The level of excitement for diggers in this video is testament to how excitement can be found anywhere when you are discovering the world and able to share your experiences!
